Back from Disney and back to running! I initially thought that I would hit the treadmill every morning at the resort hotel, but alas.... no running on this vacation. My family and I did enough walking to combat all the yummy garbage food we consumed inside the parks.

It's supposed to rain today, but it wasn't raining when I started this run :) Then about a mile in, it started to rain :( WHATEVER!!! Anyways, I like this route because about 1.5 miles of it are in the deep woods with lots of "Roots - Rock - Reggae". Now I'm back at my desk a sweaty man in a monkey suit....... singing Bob Marley in my head.

Fun run today in my Inov8 trail shoes. The only problem was the mile on the road to get to the trail head and the mile back home. I don't have much experience with trail shoes, but the 295's have a really sticky, nobby tire like sole. Great for trails..... not so much for pavement.
Splits: 7:51, 8:54(trail), 8:51(trail), 7:02, last .11 (7:05)
I came in behind the fire station and ran the main loop trail marked in yellow. There are so many roots & rocks on this trail..... it's almost not even worth the risk of injury. I rolled my left ankle 3 times. Woo Hoo!

Only option was the dreadmill in the garage.... damn I hate that thing. It doesn't help that the space is a total wreck and you couldn't park a car in either bay if you tried. Spring cleaning project!
I shouldn't complain though..... I remember a 3 month stint of no running with an achilles injury. Those were some low times.
