I hooked up with my old highschool running partner today. My wife was at work, so we ran around my hood for a couple of laps while my girls followed on their bikes. It was nice to catch up and I hope to run with him again in the near future. |

I was feeling really good today, but the unknown has been weighing on me lately. Going into my first marathon I really have zero strategy. Do I go out slow and assess how I feel a couple of miles in? Do I try and run 26.2 miles at an even consistent pace? I have no idea!
Maybe I should just run and see how it goes..... that would be a novel idea! The only way to really learn is by making mistakes I guess.

I woke up a little sluggish this morning. It rained all day yesterday and just felt raw outside today. At 9am I watched Maggie, my oldest daughter, score two goals in her soccer game! I feel extremely proud and lucky to have two amazingly talented and beautiful children.
