any races coming up?

Not as of yet.... I still haven't strung together back to back days of over 2 miles. I'd like to try and gradually increase the mileage and consistency before I commit to a race. I'm also aware of a difference in feeling from my right (previously injured) achilles and my left. It's not pain, it's just there???

i'd say just keep testing the waters. if it doesn't hurt and isn't altering your stride, try and run through it, gradually building the training back up (if it's any comfort, i've always got something that feels funny. at the moment, it's a tight piriformis; for several months it was the achilles; a year or so ago, it was a weird knee feeling. as long as it doesn't "hurt," as opposed to just feel "funny" or "uncomfortable," i just try to run through it, and whatever it is always seems to pass, whether it takes a week or 6 months, it passes nonetheless...)

good luck...

(a thought: signing up for a 5k in a month or so might just be a good "carrot" to hang out in front of yourself as motivation to train...)
