3.11 miles - slow

My wife and I were out the door at the same time, but I wasn't feeling the run from the get go.  I knew where she would be, so I ran down River street to meet up with her.  We walked it in together from there.

4.51 miles - faster

I was beating myself up for the run fail this morning.  I went out for a redemption run and it was painful.  I don't know if I could break 20 minutes in a 5k right now.  It seems that all the slow heart rate based running has only made me slower.  I know it takes a while to see and feel the gains of heart rate training, but aint nobody got time for that!

One rough day. You'll be killing it by tomorrow. And agreed, ain't nobody got time for that!

I'm feeling the same way with the low HR training. I've been at it for 7 weeks so far and have seen no improvements. They say it can take 3 to 6 months to see improvements. I've gone this long, so I'm sticking with it. The science behind it all seems to make sense. If I had an upcoming marathon, I'd probably give in and start running fast.

Didn't you just break a 20 min 5k at the end of a run pretty recently? Just an off day/week. Wait til fall...
