I had to cut this one short due to the downpour starting @ mile 3 of this run.  I also didn't want to wait three days for my shoes to dry.

That's two good progression runs on the trot; yesterday's was a corker (great).

I wouldn't worry about your runs being progressive - that's the best way, so long as you don't run too hard too often and you cool down at the end.(Also, don't become a slave to the watch; it's great to get out there and run by feel - without the burden of the clock ticking.) The kenyans spend 3-4 years of running progressions before they even consider doing anything harder like speed work.

You might find that it works if you pick two days in the week when you put in a bit more effort on your progressions - like yesterday - and then ease off and enjoy the other runs.

Yesterday's run suggests that you're well capable of hitting the BQ mark...
